Bang Khun Phrom Palace open to public

Bang Khun Phrom Palace วังบางขุนพรหม recently opened its gates to public (before only for groups with advance booking), details here: http://www.bangkokpost.com/travel/in-thailand/1292867/architectural-splendour

The public is welcome to walk in to visit the Bank of Thailand Museum on Saturdays at 10.30am, 11.30am, 1.30pm and 2.30pm (about 80 persons per session). Only pre-arranged groups of at least 20 can make visits on weekdays from 9.00am to 4pm. Advance booking of at least one month for group visits is required via 02-283-5286 or 02-283-6723. Admission is free. The museum is closed on Sundays and public holidays. Photography is prohibited inside the palace buildings. Visit bot.or.th for more information.

This palace has long been high on my list of places I want to go, and I have seen it many times passing by Chao Phraya boat or on Rama 8 bridge.

Entrance to the palaces is under Rama 8 bridge (the gate where the security guard is standing):

Tour is about 14:20 to 15:40, in groups of about 20, with guide who explains in Thai. Unfortunately only Tamnak Yai is in the tour, and no pictures inside allowed.

Long trousers, take off your shoes, put your phone in a plastic bag with number (however when I wanted to deposit my bag containing my camera and other stuff, they told me I can take it with me).
